3KND did a live to air broadcast at the Pacific Epping Shopping Centre for NAIDOC Week “For Our Elders”. Pacific Epping had an activation space where people could come and stop by and participate in some activities.
Locals to Pacific Epping are invited to learn about First Nations cultures and histories and participate in celebrations of the oldest, continuous living cultures on earth! To celebrate Pacific Epping we will be hosting a week full of activities including Traditional Storytelling, Didgeridoo Workshops, Local Dance Performances, Indigenous Painting Demonstrations and more!
This morning we had an Interview with 9 year old Millie who was excited to have her first radio interview and she done very well, Thank you to Elder Uncle Lionel Dukakis who is A proud Gunditjmara Man and is the Managing Director of Indigenous Affairs First Nations Traffic Management & First Nations Labour Hire Pty Ltd, we had a yarn with Elder Aunty Kerry Gannaway and The team from Pacific Epping Stephanie Nabbout Marketing Executive and Chris Yani, and a surprise by 3KND loyal listeners Brian and Blue Eyes who stopped by to have a chat.
The workshop was done by Ganga Girri, Ganga is a rhythmic didgeridoo virtuoso and enjoyis getting to play and contribute more performing locally, but also helping bring Culture and Education into schools and various other places needed in the community.
