Kev Starkey is an Adnyamathanha and Torres Strait Islander man who sings the blues. Kev has been writing and playing music for over 30 years. Kev now owns the only privately owned and operated first nations record label service in Australia and he speaks to Gman on Big Brekkie. SCU Sunshine coast University also use Kev’s studio as the subsidiary training facility. Kev is passionate about creating world wide awareness about the destruction of Cultural Sites and the damage created by Coal Seam Gas plants and mining around the world. Be it instrumental or lyrical, Kev Starkey's ten diverse style of blues tell a story we can all connect to in one way or another.
