The 3KND team did an Outside Broadcast at the Collingwood Childrens Farm with lots of community mob coming out to enjoy the day with lots of fun activities and entertainment.
To start the morning Thane Garvey a proud Wurundjeri man gave a Welcome to Country and Smoking Ceremony followed by Rachel Oxford and Darren Smith, CEO from Aboriginal Housing Victoria also welcomed people to the event.
During the day there was a Hip Hop Dancing workshops and performance with the Indigenous Outreach Projects (IOP). IOP are a culturally diverse national collective with highly developed skills sharing a common goal. Focusing on showcasing our passion to connect with community, especially youth, engaging with them through music and dance.
Uncle Herb Patten did a gum leaf performance and finally Maylene Yinar performed her beautiful songs and had a chat on 3KND.
It was such a great day seeing lots of families enjoying themselves, We would like to thank all the staff and families to attended the event. Featuring traditional crafts, live music, dance, a renter art show, a raffle and storytelling with Yarra Libraries, it's going to be a fabulous day.
