Angela Ross is the Learning Health and Wellbeing Director at Children’s Ground. Children’s Ground is a not-for-profit organisation led by Aboriginal communities. They are creating a new future for First Nations children, families and communities experiencing the greatest levels of disadvantage.
Angela is an Arrernte woman from Mparntwe (Alice Springs). She joins specialist journalist Hayley McAdam on the program ON TRACK to talk about how lockdown has been like for herself, families and youth in Mparntwe and also how Children’s Ground were able to keep everyone safe but culturally connected. She has recently moved to Wurundjeri (Melbourne) and talks about that transition to Melbourne and coping with the ever-shifting restrictions from the COVID-19 lockdown.
