Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander musicians and community members have stepped up in support of the national COVID-19 vaccine campaign titled #VAXTHENATION. This new campaign is asking the country to help ‘stop the interruptions’ and get vaccinated. Especially when it comes to protecting Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander communities.
#VAXTHENATION aims to remind EVERYONE of the magic of live music, sharing space with friends and family, and protecting the community. These lands are connected by a rich cultural fabric that connects us all - songlines dating back 60,000+ years. “It’s like boxing – a few well-placed jabs can keep your opponent at bay – so let's get the jab to fight COVID-19 so we can get back to what we love doing.” – Archie Roach.
