The Victorian Aboriginal News (VAN) Hour program airs on 3KnD every Wednesday from 11am to midday, and is replayed on Wednesday night between 7pm and 8pm.

 

It is produced and hosted by VAN founder, Aboriginal journalist Charles Pakana, maintaining a unique position in Australian media by delivering a primary focus on current affairs specific to Aboriginal Victoria.

 

Produced almost entirely “on the road” and featuring face-to-face interviews from across Victoria, the VAN Hour is based on the popular VAN Talks podcast.

 

The program is highly regarded for its timely and accurate coverage of the Victorian Treaty and truth-telling processes, Traditional Owner initiatives and reconciliation.
